It serves me nothing to hate you
for what you’ve done in the past.
I may not like your actions or your words
yet it is not my position to carry your conscience.
My stride is this;
accept who you are
and smile when you’ve been humbled.
Laugh at self (often)
give your power to those who are weak
as so they too can rise to their feet.
In the darkness of night think of those
that have passed
keep them in thoughts and prayers
and maybe one night upon a dream
they will visit with blessings.
There’s beauty in everything
if it’s not visible
help to make it visible.
Remove the façade that blinds you
the rhetoric and racism that is less than manure
and you shall see a new light emerge from within
that is how this world becomes a better place to live in.
Stop and smell the flowers?
Appreciation for what is so freely given is a must in life
even on a rainy day.
If you see somebody dancing,
they understand completely;
they’re sharing their consciousness with you.
It is not their actions that affect you
it is your lack of understanding
or your refusal to accept what is freely given.
Only when the petals of a flower overcomes the obstacles that blinds them
does the world becomes a better place.
