Our soul is love.
It represents our life’s mission
compassion is a trait we’ve inherited from God
and when applied we rise to stand next to our God.
We represent our God through our actions
regardless of color or tribe
our love shall be boundless
and our action infinite.
If we fall into ignorance
we will be reminded
how God’s compassion aligns our souls.
Its a painful nudge of our own creation
that allows us to reach out for resolve
by hand of God or the compassion of a stranger;
our pain shall reveal our ignorance.
Better judgement in matters of the heart
will direct us back to the path that leads our mission home.
My greatest pain was the absence of love;
over indulgence of selfishness lead me into the darkness.
Love only thrives in God’s presence
and when I removed myself of his compassion
by denying his existence
I felt the extent of his pain
for each soul that cries for his mercy in the night
he absorbs.
I exchanged my life’s mission for self-interests
slowly my soul bled out.
I grasped at God’s compassion
before the last drop of my soul fell to the floor.
In the darkness of my mind
the only thing pure was God’s compassion;
it lit up like fire and I fell to my knees
as the path of my mission was revealed once again.
My resolve was God
my soul restored by love.
A thousand strikes
a thousand scars
a thousand reminders to be grateful
for what I have to offer to those
who seek the compassion of a stranger.
Our soul is love
compassion is our bond.
We each dream under the same stars
we each rise in his light
we each die in his honor
we each bring his mission home.
