With all the crap that the world is going through, with all the challenges and controversial rhetoric that seeks to seal our doom I remain optimistic about our future.

I believe there is someone out there like my grand mother. Someone who could see beyond the chaos to a better and brighter future. Someone who could stop you dead in your tracks to reconsider your line of thinking and how it may be flawed.

I also believe that there is someone out there as logical as my mother. Someone who could boil that rhetorical jambalaya down to the basics. Someone who can see through the façade that masks people’s agendas.

Every generation will point the finger to the previous generation for the situation they’re in. Optimism does not stem from anger, it stems from hope and determination to achieve the next level of humanity and progression. You do not correct the past by blaming it, you hold it accountable by rectifying that mistake and moving forward towards a greater quality of human existence and spiritual sustainability.

Out there somewhere my grand mother lives. Out there somewhere my mother’s logic exists. It just needs to be embraced and harnessed.
