Use the good word to express God’s love
or use the good word to spread hate.
That is the choice.
We can teach an army how to kill
or teach our children unconditional love.
Let them loose on the open plains
and watch as the cumbersome rifle falls to the ground.
God’s love is infectious
to heart’s desires.
What restrains shall be cast away
when we are open to his love?
I sometimes fall victim to my own desires.
Hideousness is not a quality to transcend to
yet it is a side-effect of self-centeredness.
I ask myself, what good can arrive from such behavior?
Only God’s silence can answer such questions.
I come to resolve my perception
through his light and silence.
I come back home
to where he and his children await.
My failures are God’s successes.
Can I believe that God is good
then spit on one of his children
claiming self-righteousness in God’s eyes?
For if God doesn’t ridicule, then why should I?
What makes me better than the God I vow to?
I strive towards the perfection of God
knowing I will never achieve it.
It is the journey that ratifies my soul.
It is my last breath that says thank you.
It is a life well lived.
The day after my death may my last words reflect
upon the winds of appreciation.
May they resonate God’s love
and my imperfections.
May they add to the path that leads us all to his light
for in his eyes there are many that travel
and in his silence, many more found.
