To those who decide to take the long road home
may they be celebrated as those before us;
for the journey they’ve chosen
is laborious and daunting.
The road is unforgiving and the challenges many.

For those that take the long road home;
may they be blessed in the God’s light;
forever knowing that their spirit was made stronger
by such travels.
For this is the road of resolution
leading to the heart of our God.

May the task we are handed so graciously
continuously humble us as so we never forget those that traveled before us
and the effort they applied to such a cause.
Our souls draw the breath from the God we choose
enriching our essence and fueling our devotion;
driving us forward on days of darkness
when the road itself seems to disappear
we shall still believe we are made for this journey;
we shall grasp the reins of fortitude
and propel ourselves forward towards the light we cannot see
knowing that those before us have done so graciously.

For those that decide to take the long road home
may you find the light within that drives your resolve;
that forces your steps in times of despair
for a blind man’s faith is all that’s needed
to follow the road the leads to the heart
of all creation.

May the God of your understanding bless you in all that you do.
