The stars were my dreams
I parted them to expose the void
then drank from the mirky pool
poisoning my spirit
and choking on star dust
just to prove
I wasn’t human.
when I fell back to earth
I was reborn
with a spirit of a thousand years
and the strength of a thousand men.
to prove it
I went back to find you.
some call it hell
some call it purgatory
yet we all know it
as addiction.
